How does Certified Mail work with ShipLeap?

ShipLeap currently supports standard Certified Mail through USPS.

 

With standard Certified Mail:

  • A signature is required upon delivery.
  • Any recipient at the delivery address can sign for the package.

 

At this time, ShipLeap does not support Restricted Delivery, which requires the specific addressee to sign.


USPS carriers typically capture signatures electronically using a handheld device rather than requiring a physical signature on the traditional green card.


Once delivery is complete, you can obtain proof of delivery directly from USPS. For instructions, visit:
