ShipLeap Client Update Process Has Changed ?
We’ve streamlined how updates are delivered so you can stay current with zero guess‑work.
❓ What’s Different?
Old Behaviour | New Behaviour |
---|---|
Full‑screen “Updater” window popped up every time the app started. | A discreet banner appears inside ShipLeap after you sign in. |
The installer saved itself to a preset, hidden location. | You pick where the installer is saved on your PC (Desktop, Downloads, network share, USB, etc.). |
You couldn’t keep working until the update finished. | Keep processing shipments while the file downloads in the background. |
❓ How the New In‑App Updater Works
Launch ShipLeap and log in.
Look for the green “Update Available!” banner in the account panel on the right (see screenshot).
Click Download Update.
Choose any folder and press Save.
When the download completes, run the installer and follow the prompts.
Need it later? You can also select ☰ Menu ▸ Check for Updates at any time.
❓ Why We Made This Change
Fewer questions – the process resembles a normal file download you already know.
Full control – save the installer where you want.
No interruptions – keep using ShipLeap while the update grabs in the background.
The legacy start‑up updater will no longer appear. If you ever run into trouble, our support team is here to help.
