There may be times when it is necessary to reset the Zebra printer if you are getting gaps between labels, if the barcode doesn't show, or if label data is getting cut off. To reset the Zebra printer, please follow the instructions below.

1. With the printer powered up, hold down the feed button. See picture below.

2. Wait until the you get the "four flash" sequence from the status light (the printer will first flash once...then twice...then three times...then four times)

3. After the four-flash, release the feed button.

4. The printer should starting printing properly after the reset.

If the barcode still isn't printing, you can try this to reset the printer to defaults before re-configuring the printer

Loading defaults:

  • Navigate to Devices and Printers
  • Right click on the label printer
  • Click on Printing Properties
  • In the Properties screen, click on Printing Preferences
  • In the Printing Preferences, click on the Tools tab.
  • Select the Command Type: Action and the Command name: Load factory defaults
  • Click Send
  • Then select the Command name: Reset printer
  • Click Send

Resetting size: You will want to check both in Printing Preferences and the Printing Defaults located on the Advanced tab in the Printing Properties screen (Both defaults and preference screens will look similar). Make sure the size in these settings is the correct size.
