The Discounted Rate Program (DRP) was created to save users money by presenting rates lower than your rates on your account (if available). If you choose to buy DRP labels, you will need to pay via the credit card on file instead of being billed by the carrier.

Here are some common questions and answers about the Discounted Rate Program (DRP)


1. I think I have great rates using my own UPS/FEDEX account. Do I need to get rid of my UPS/FEDEX account?

No, you should keep your account especially if you have a daily pickup. On our dashboard, you will see a discounted rate when we find a shipping amount lower than your current rate on your account. The ShipLeap DRP rates are in green (with a star) below. You can choose to print labels for whatever service you choose and all tracking will be visible on the ShipLeap Momentum app.

 

2. How will the billing work with DRP?

Just like with USPS, you can manage the billing through the money tab. We will be charging your credit card for any UPS/FEDEX labels you buy through the DRP program. We will batch all purchases throughout the day and charge for everything at once at the end of the day.


Go to GEAR > Money and click on the shipping date. Anything marked SLH will be a DRP price. See below


3. Will I be charged if I don't use a label printed from the DRP (package wasn't picked up)?

Unlike being billed to your UPS/FEDEX account, labels purchased from the DRP will be charged to your credit card on file immediately. Please make sure you void unused labels from the track tab so you won't get billed.


4. I need to change something on a DRP shipment after it's picked up. How do I do that?

You will need to contact ShipLeap support (support@shipleap.com). Please allow 24 hours to respond.

 

5. How often will you charge my credit card?

ShipLeap will charge your credit card at the end of each day for all the purchases you make during that day. This means that if you make multiple purchases throughout the day, you will see a single charge on your card that includes all of those purchases.


6. Can I buy discounted rates for batch shipments?

We don't support DRP for batch yet, but we plan on offering that in the future.


7. What's the process if there is a claim/inquiry that needs to be made on a package?

  

Please email support@shipleap.com 2 things:

 

a. ShipLeap shipment number. You can find it on the shipment in the track tab


b. The tracking number that is having the problem


8. Will DRP labels show as a transaction on our UPS bill?

No, you will only see the transaction within the ShipLeap app. You can check the tracking in the track tab and the credit card charge in the money tab.


9. How will returns be handled

If the shipment can't be delivered, the package will be returned to ShipLeap instead of your return address.
