If you purchased a barcode scanner from us or had us program a supported barcode scanner for you, you will be able to scan a job ticket and connect Printsmith invoice shipping data and ShipLeap Momentum. You won't be able to use any bar code scanner with our platform without checking with us first.


Here are some notes to get you going.


1. You will have to make sure the job ticket in Vision has barcodes visible. Gear > Preferences > Settings > Estimator > Job Ticket > Click on Add Tracking Bar Codes 


Click SAVE



On your job ticket, you should see something like this:


2. The barcode scanner should be plugged into the computer via USB that has ShipLeap Momentum installed that will do the scanning and shipping.


3. Work with your ShipLeap rep to make sure configuration like this is added. 


4. For the wireless scanner: Pickup the scanner and pull the trigger to see if there is a charge. You will need to pull the trigger to "wake up" the scanner if it's in sleep mode. Put the scanner on the charger if the battery is drained.


5. To test the scanner, have a job ticket ready and open up ShipLeap Momentum. Scan the barcode from setup 1 when the ShipLeap application is open and shipping information should populate just as if you entered the invoice on the top left (Scanner Input). Please keep in mind we can only pull information from orders located in the Work in Progress (Pending Documents) list with this method. Make sure you the invoice is not locked.
