ShipLeap uses the standard, carrier-provided APIs (standard software issued directly from UPS/FEDEX) to get your negotiated rates and delivery times.

ShipLeap has no control over the rates or delivery times that come back for your account.

What this essentially means is that ShipLeap says to the carrier:

"Hey, UPS/FEDEX send us back the rates and delivery times associated with Customer ABC's account given these specs (weight, size, service type, etc.)" and UPS/FEDEX then sends the prices and delivery time back in real-time. If you think you are not receiving your correct rates, you need to make sure that your account is enabled to receive your negotiated rates via their APIs. You can reach out to your UPS/FEDEX rep to confirm this.

Viewing Negotiated Rates in Our Shipping and Rating APIsIf you use one of our application programming interfaces (APIs), you'll need to add the payment account to your ups.com profile, and the NegotiatedRatesIndicator must be passed in the XML Request.

If you are not receiving the correct rates via APIs you need to make sure that your account is enabled to receive your negotiated rates via APIs. You can reach out to your UPS Account Manager to confirm this.

Please note that ShipLeap always passes the NegotiatedRatesIndicator in every request to UPS.

In some cases, your UPS Account Manager may request your "UPS Ready Rate Access Code" to enable your account to receive negotiated rates via APIs. If this is needed please let us know and we can arrange to pull those details from our database.
